Model 70 .243 WSSM, Tim Shows Us Up!!

This video was taken the same day as the S&W .44 Magnum video, So this was an Extended Range Day, mostly Overcast And LOTS of wind. To top it off we had a few new guys on the range so we did not do a whole lot of long range shots. One of the great things about being out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by hills is that you have one of the best backstops ever, and you can shoot in any direction you can see. So for this phase we decided to take a few Tide bottles out one at 260, the other at 400. So I hadn't done too much with the .243 other than a few shots at 70 yrds and Tim wanted to see If I could hit the bottle at 260 with a 30 mph cross breeze I figured "why not" and got to work.

Now at this time I had no Idea how these new handloads tim gave me were going to perform, with that I had no Idea how this round performed in wind so I was cautious. after some hardscoping I decided to pop off a round.... MISS!! In my frustration I popped off 2 more... and they were both misses....... I know disappointing right lol. At this Point I decided to let Tim Show Me how It was done and We got that on Film.

Long Story Short Tim has 6 years of Reloading and shooting this particular Model 70, We like to Call Tim the Mad Scientist because the Man Knows his powder and can make Accurate loads for just about anything he tries. While He isn't a .30 cal guy don't let this rifle fool you. the Man Reloads his own 00 buck, .454 cassull, and .45 ACP. He is one of the Valued members of Apache Survival and we are glad to have him on board.
