Open Carry where Legal
Hey Mates, Decided to start getting this blog going again on another Gmail account. Today I wanted to talk about the Idea of open carrying Firearms. If you live in the US then you have been granted by our constitution the Right To bear arms. (Second amendment U.S. Constitution, 1791) This Ensures that Citizens of the US have a right keep, maintain, train, and have on their person any firearms that they wish for the purpose of protection from tyranny from the domestic or foreign powers that may try to oppress the citizenry.
Although Our Constitution (which supercedes any law that can be passed by state or federal laws) grants us this right, years have passed and those who would seek to control us have convinced the general public that it is "Illegal" to carry a gun on your person. They spout that only criminals have need for guns, that only psychopaths, and Serial Killers have need for such devices. Because of this the local Police have even begun to buy into the lie that Law abiding citizens cannot carry such arms on their person. Many times The local police are used as tools of those ignorant to the actual local firearms and end up calling law enforcement to "deal" with open carriers.
Many of these calls end with either the Law enforcement being taught the actual laws, or with the unlawful detainment of a law abiding citizen. What happened to rule of law? How is it that a law enforcement sees a person properly carrying a firearm (holstered or slinged) as civil unrest or a disturbance, when it is the person who is illegally concealing a weapon with the intention to do others harm who is at fault. As time goes on I tend to worry that if responsible gun Owners don't do their part, and exercise these rights that we have then they will be stripped away. In a country where people do not take advantage of the ability to openly wear their arms and protect their country/community/home/family that right will be seen as useless and we will forfeit our safety and protection to a system that doesn't stress the importance of knowing of city ordinances, state, and federal firearms law)
I hope to encourage everyone who may find this to Open Carry where they can.
